Success in Cow Town!!!

Slaton ISD is proud to recognize SHS senior Kinlee Rathmann, who exhibited the Champion Angus steer at the 2026 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, one of the most prestigious and competitive steer shows in the nation.
Each year, Fort Worth welcomes more than 31,000 livestock entries, including over 4,000 junior steers, making it one of the largest junior steer shows in the country. With its long-standing tradition, elite competition, and industry-respected judges, Fort Worth is widely considered the premier steer show where only the best of the best rise to the top.
Earning a championship at Fort Worth is a major accomplishment and reflects countless hours of dedication, care, and hard work. Congratulations to Kinlee and her family on this outstanding achievement. ( interesting side note: Kinlee’s younger sister exhibited the Res. Breed Ch Angus)
