Assistant Coach of the Week: Tracy Huseman! 

Big congratulations to Slaton Defensive Coordinator Tracy Huseman, who earns this week’s honor after the Tigers’ defense helped secure a statement 49-33 victory over the previously undefeated Littlefield Wildcats in their District Opener!

Huseman’s defense came up big early, forcing a key turnover that helped Slaton jump out to a 13-0 lead. Throughout the night, the Tigers made crucial stops to keep the Wildcats off balance and maintain momentum in Slaton’s favor.

Even more special? Coach Huseman is a Littlefield native, making this win especially meaningful.

The Tigers improve to 6-1 on the season — and they’re just getting started.
