our students and staff. The policy may be reviewed by

District policies adopted to ensure that elementary
school, middle school, and junior high school students
engage in at least 30 minutes per school day or 135 minutes
per school week of physical activity

Current campus physical activities:
 | West Ward Elementary provides daily 30 minutes of
physical activity though P.E. class. |
 | Stephen F. Austin provides daily 30 minutes of
physical activity through recess, music or P.E. class. |
 | Slaton Junior High provided 45 minutes of physical
activity through Band, JROTC, or P.E. class.
Students must complete 2 P.E. credits in junior high. |
The district's school health advisory council has met
twice during the 05-06 school year.
District policies to ensure compliance with applicable
vending machine and food service guidelines for restricting
