Fun Friday: 1st and 2nd period will remain on schedule.  You will report for attendance to your 3rd period.  After we have taken roll, we will dismiss you to your fun day activity. REMEMBER, students will NOT be allowed to move between locations.  All students who are assigned to ICU or have teachers to meet with will go there.

Friday Lunch: Students, if you want a sack lunch on Friday you must sign up during lunch in the cafeteria today. 

Tigerettes tonight:  Our Tigerettes will host Shallowater on Friday beginning at 3:00.  Thank you to everyone for their donations yesterday.  Proceeds will be donated to Shallowater High School in memory of him.  

January Student of the Month: Students go vote for January Student of the Month. Link for the form was sent to your school gmail.

Santa Red & Blue Delivery: Saturday is the delivery day for Santa Red & Blue.  We need all volunteers at the police station at 9:30 in order to get loaded and lined up to go.  Group picture will be taken at 10:00 and then we will begin delivering happiness and love to all our community.  If plan on coming out, please dress warm as the weather is forecasting very cold weather that morning.

Fun Friday - December 20 - Students, pay $2 to attend a Fun Friday activity. 

Options are

1.       Auditorium for a movie
2.       Old gym for Basketball and/or dodgeball
3.       Library for quiet time/reading
4.       Computer lab for games

Sign up and pay your 2nd period teacher.  You will NOT be allowed to move between locations so pick where you want to stay for the entire time.  If you are in ICU, or a teacher needs you to make up work you cannot participate. 

Teacher please collect $2 from your 2nd period classes and have them sign up for an activity.  Money and sign up lists are due in the office before the end of the day today. 

Off Campus Lunch Class of 2021 - Thrusday, December 19: Congratulations Class of 2021. They won the Santa Red and Blue diaper & wipe drive contest winning off campus lunch tomorrow!  Juniors, pick up your permission slips in the office today during passing periods.  Your signed permission slip will be your exit ticket on your way out the door to lunch tomorrow.   

Hat or PJ Day - ThursdayOur Tigerettes will host Shallowater on Friday beginning at 3:00.  Sadly, the Shallowater Mustangs lost a classmate earlier this week in a car accident.  On Thursday, you can donate $1 to either wear a hat or pajamas to school. Or $2 to wear both.   Proceeds will be donated to Shallowater High School in memory of him.

Christmas Tree Giveaway: There is a lighted Christmas Tree outside Mrs Almarez’s room that will be given away next week.  If you would like a chance to take this tree home with you, go by Mr Almarez’s room to enter your name into the drawing. Your name can only be entered once.  Don’t miss your chance to get your name into the box for the drawing to take this tree home to your family!

Golf Team: From Mrs Gonzales – Anyone who is interested in playing Golf this year, please stop by the office and sign up.  We will meet before the Christmas Break.

Off Campus Lunch Competition: TODAY is class competition day!!  Just looking at preliminary piles in Mrs Gonzales’ classroom, looks like the Senior Class is in the lead!!  Those seniors really like their off campus lunch!!  Donations toward competition will be accepted throughout the day today!! Reminder that a package of wipes is worth 5 points, a package of diapers is worth 10 points and each dollar is worth a point. 

Basketball Tournament: Congratulations to our Tigers on their victories in Floydada yesterday, they will return to Floydada to compete today. While our Tigerettes will be traveling to Sundown to take on the Roughnecks.  Good luck to all our teams!!!

Volunteers Needed: We need all hands on deck tonight as we volunteer our time to deliver the empty paper sacks for food collection for Santa Red & Blue.  If you are able to help, please meet at the dome area at 4:00.  The more help we have the faster we will get all the bags delivered before dark! This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours.

We will have a teddy bear toss at halftime of the Tigers game tonight.  All teddy bears and stuffed animals tossed onto the court will be donated to Santa Red & Blue and given to families in need!  Thank you for your donation.

Teddy Bear TossTuesday December 10th @ Halftime of boy’s basketball game. Please bring any type of new stuffed animal to throw onto the court during halftime of the boys’ game. All stuffed animals will be donated to Santa Red & Blue.

EDME
: Reminder to the PCT and Medical Terminology students attending EDME. This organization is Early Dedication to Medical Education. Mr. Schneider has provided you with the RSVP information and access. Please be in front of the school at 4:50. Today we will leave on the bus at 5:00 for Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Dr. Dixon Santana will present Vascular Surgery. We will return to Slaton about 8:15.
