Transfer Requests

The Slaton ISD accepts students living outside the district. The criteria for requesting a transfer into Slaton ISD is:

bulletComplete a transfer application
bulletFor first-time request, applicant must provide the following documentation:
bullet Social Security card
bullet most current report card with attendance record
bullet most current TAKS scores
bullet most current discipline records
bulletMeet all of the following:
bullet Regular and punctual attendance
bulletNo discipline problems
bulletParent must provide transportation
bulletReapply for transfer each year.

To receive a transfer, parents must agree to the following stipulations:

  1. A transfer approval is for one year only and does not guarantee a continuation at that school for subsequent years. A transfer application must be submitted each year.
  2. The receiving principal may, at any time, revoke the transfer if the student's presence is considered disruptive to the educational process (e.g. discipline or attendance problems).
